Structural planner at the office of Vittorio De Benedetti, Engineer – Construction Science Professor of the engineering faculty at La Sapienza University – Rome. Work site director for various major construction companies. Technical consultant for construction companies. Consultant for APAT (environmental protection agency and technical services) in activities related to supporting the VIA (environmental impact appraisal) and VIA Speciale (special environmental impact appraisal) Committee of the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land from October 2003 to September 2006. Lecturer at the round table-seminar “Il sottovia urbano sul Lungomare di Olbia” (the underpass on the Olbia seafront), for students of the faculty of engineering of Cagliari. Twenty years of experience in structural planning, with particular focus on anti-seismic engineering.

Augusto Federici

was born in Rome on 12 March 1956. He received a degree in Civil Engineering, transport section, infrastructures studies, at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome, in December 1982. He has been a member of the Society of Engineers of the Province of Rome, with registration no. 13037, since 1983. Between 1983 and 1986 he worked for the Office of Prof. Vittorio De Benedetti, Eng. As an external consultant he worked from 1989 to 1994 with the Municipality of Filottrano (Ancona) as acting Chief Engineer and member of the Building Commission. During the period from 1985 to 2004 he was technical consultant, firstly for the Cassa di Risparmio di Rome and then for the Gruppo Banca di Rome - Capitalia. From 2001 to 2008, he was a member of the Technical Committee of Imm.re Novoli S.p.A. (Florence), and during that same period he was also technical consultant for Imm.re Foro Bonaparte S.p.A. Since 2000, Augusto Federici has been shareholder and Sole Director of the engineering services company R.C.I. s.r.l. (Rome), and shareholder and managing director of F.D. Costruzioni S.r.L. (Gruppo DR).

Marco Federici

was born in Rome on 14 March 1961. He received a degree in Civil Engineering, transport section, at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome in December 1988. He has been a Member of the Society of Engineers of the Province of Rome, with no. 15514, since 1990. During the period between 1991 and 2001 Marco Federici worked as Technical and Site Manager for several important building companies. From 2001 to 2004 he was technical consultant for Imm.re Progetto Ostiense, Imm.re Porta Volta and for American Continental Properties. Since 2000, Marco Federici has been shareholder and technical manager of R.C.I. S.r.L. (Rome), an engineering services company, and of F.D. Costruzioni S.r.L. (Gruppo DR).

Lilia Arpino

was born in Cassino on 23 February 1962. She received a degree in architecture at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome in July 1991. She has been a member of the Society of Architects of the Province of Frosinone, with no. 422, since January 1993. After graduation she worked for an engineering office in Rome and gained experience in the field of hospital building. Since 1994 she has been working as a free lance, specialising in the field of restoration and renovation of existing buildings, as well as interior design and landscape architecture.

Vincenzo Meccariello

was born in Cagliari on 15 September 1953. He received a degree in Building Civil Engineering, structures studies, at the University of Cagliari, in June 1982. He was granted the right to practise the profession in December 1982. He has been a member of the Society of Engineers of the Province of Cagliari, with no. 2001, since 12.01.1983. After a short period of work in the commercial-building field with a Sardinian firm, he was employed from 03 September 1984 to 28 February 1992 by SCAC S.p.A. – Milan with the post of Area Manager for Sardinia and Technical Manager of the Cagliari office. On 01 March 1992 he was promoted to managing director, with the same duties. In June 1998 he took the “PONTI E VIADOTTI” (bridges and viaducts) refresher course of the continuing education programme at the Milan Polytechnic - Department of Structural Engineering, organised by Prof. Francesco Martinez y Cabrera. From 01 November 1998 to date he has been working as a freelance designer, concentrating on the field of structures related to roads (bridges, viaducts, flyovers, underpasses etc.). In this capacity he has produced countless designs for the territorial bodies responsible for roads (Anas, Provinces, Land reclamation syndicates etc.), as well as providing advice and assistance to construction firms and road designers. Since July 2000 he has also been technical manager of Tensiter Sarda S.p.A.

I.A.U. società di Ingegneria s.r.l. was founded in 2002 and works in the fields of engineering, architecture and town planning. With its own technical staff (engineers and architects) as well as making use of the services of free lances, such as topographers, agronomists, naturalists, biologists, statisticians and economists, it assists DIENNE Ingegneria s.r.l. with the work of topography, surveying, core services for engineering, structural diagnosis and assistance with static testing.

The Eng. Cinuzzi associated office was established in 1986 and works in many fields of engineering. The principals are engineers Andrea Cinuzzi and Marco Falconi; the expert technical staff includes, inter alia, four design engineers, three surveyors/draughtspersons/designers and two surveyors/draughtspersons. The office assists DIENNE Ingegneria s.r.l. with the design of complex civil and industrial structures in reinforced concrete and pre-stressed reinforced concrete.

The AGP office, which started in the mid-eighties, specialises in the design of complex steel and composite steel-concrete structures, in particular for bridge structures, and it assists DIENNE Ingegneria s.r.l. with that work. The AGP office has worked with important firms in the metal structures sector, solving specific problems related to the executive design of bridge structures. The office also specialises in the field of launching metal bridge structures, both with longitudinal movement (end-on-launch) and hoisting by crane truck and movement by heavy duty self-propelled carts.

Servizi Geotecnici s.a.s. is a company of professionals, founded in 1986, which works in the field of geology applied to Engineering and assists DIENNE Ingegneria s.r.l. in that sector. Its administrative headquarters and registered office are in Cagliari, it has a well equipped geotechnical laboratory in Sestu, and has been in operation for nearly 30 years. It works for the sectors of Civil and Environmental Engineering that build and carry out work on the territory and for the renovation of buildings, using state-of-the-art equipment and innovative technologies.

E&G S.r.l. is a civil engineering company, which works in the fields of Geotechnics and of Structural and Environmental Hydraulic Engineering and is ISO 9001-2008 certified. It is directed by Prof. Quintilio Napoleoni, Eng., and has a staff capable of providing integrated engineering services for multidisciplinary design. It uses modern computer tools in order always to guarantee high quality services. It provides consultancies and assistance in the geotechnical field to DIENNE Ingegneria s.r.l..
